New Delhi, October 17— Eighteen-year-old Soyeb Aftab wrote history on Friday when he was declared all-India topper of the NEET 2020 exam with 100% marks. He got 720 out of 720 marks.
Akanksha Singh has also got full marks but she has got 2nd rank as per NEET’s tie-breaking policy because Aftab is older than Akanksha.
Akanksha is topper from Delhi. Aftab is topper from Odisha.
Besides Aftab, four other Muslim students have also emerged topper in their states/union territories.
With 710 marks, Ayesha S is Kerala topper. She has got 12th position in All-India Rank (AIR).
With 675 marks, Shaikh Rubiya Abdussalam has topped the state list of Goa. Her AIR is 922.
Mohammed Afroz Hussain K K is the topper in the union territory of Lakshadweep. With 660 marks, his AIR is 2306.
With 570 marks, Murtaza Ali is topper from the newly-formed union territory of Ladakh. His AIR is 35673.
For the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020, some 13.66 lakh students had written the exam. NEET-2020 was held throughout the country on September 13 and October 14. The results were declared on October 16. The successful students will get admission for MBBS/BDS studies as per their ranks.
