New Delhi, March 23— The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday declared the Civil Services Main exam 2020 results. Among hundreds of successful candidates, there are 34 from Jamia Millia Islamia’s Residential Coaching Academy. The Main Examination was held by the UPSC from 8-17 January this year.
The successful candidates have qualified for the Personality Test (Interview) for selection to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and other Central Services (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’).
“Personality Tests (Interviews) of these candidates will be commenced shortly, which will be held in the Office of the Union Public Service Commission at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069. The e-Summon Letters of Personality Tests (Interviews) of the candidates will be made available shortly, which may be downloaded from the Commission’s Website https://www.upsc.gov.in &https://www.upsconline.in,” announced UPSC on its website.
In a media communication, Jamia Millia’s PRO said: “34 students of Residential Coaching Academy (RCA), JMI have qualified for Civil Services (interview) Examination 2020 as per the result of Civil Services (Main) 2020, declared by UPSC on 23.03.2021. The interview/ personality test will be held soon.”
Over 100 students from Jamia Millia’s Coaching Academy had cleared the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2020 in October last year.
RCA, JMI as per the past practices, will conduct series of Mock Interviews and interactive sessions for the qualified students with the help of senior/retired bureaucrats and academicians. These students are residing in RCA, JMI where they are getting facilities of classes, test series, libraries, special lectures and mock interviews.
“Last year also, 30 students of RCA, JMI were finally selected in civil services. Between 2020 to 2021 another 35 students of RCA were selected in different state public services…” said the PRO office.
