New Delhi, November 12— “My father has always believed that he was a trustee of his wealth and never its owner. Being part of the communities in which we live and work is also a core part of Wipro,” said Rishad Premji, Chairman of IT giant Wipro, while tweeting a news piece that says his father and Wipro’s Founder Chairman Azim Premji has emerged the most generous person by donating Rs 22 crore per day in the year 2020.
Azim Premji and family have topped the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2020 with contribution of Rs 7,904 crore, mostly on education. He is the only person to donate more than Rs 1000 crore.

In the list of top 10 donors, Founder Chairman of HCL Technologies, Shiv Nadar and family is at No. 2 and India’s richest person Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries (RIL), has been ranked on third position.
Shiv Nadar and family have contributed Rs 795 crore, mostly on education, and Mukesh Ambani and family have contributed Rs 458 crore, mostly on disaster relief.
